Campaign Objective – To raise vital funds for Edinburgh Dog and Cat Home during the first months of the UK Lockdown 2020

The MEERKATs always do all they can to look out for other less fortunate animals. In recent years they have become regular supporters – and best of “paw pals” – with the team at Edinburgh Dog and Cat Home.

Edinburgh Dog and Cat Home

The team planned, bought and created a radio advertising campaign that ran across Forth FM. The urgent appeal asked people to donate £5 or £20 to help Edinburgh Dog and Cat Home. The call to action was ‘Please text 5PAWS or 20PAWS to 70085’ to keep the animals fed and cared for during the UK lockdown.

Drawing on their enviable contacts within the media industry, MEERKATworks also planned and delivered free OOH and digital TV for Edinburgh Dog and Cat Home. This multi-faceted media approach, with radio advertising at its heart, generated vital “survival” funds during a very challenging time for the charity.
